He starts to push himself up and nearly collapses right back down. Putting weight of any kind on his left hand is out of the question— he really should have anticipated that. Leaning on his right elbow, he is able to (rather ungracefully) scoot himself up into a more upright position.
He accepts the water without thanks, mainly because he doesn't trust himself to speak again until he has emptied the glass. Then he looks over to Tony and, sounding a bit more uncertain than the sarcasm would imply, tells him: ] You're welcome?
