[ Forgive him, he's usually more inventive than that. He almost started rambling about how there were more girls were called Roxy back in the 30s and that it's a shame the name isn't so popular anymore because he always liked it BUT he's trying not to be sound like a grandpa. ]

When you say old fashioned, what does that entail?

It entails being born before the invention of color TV and missing most pop culture references, but that's about it. And I get the feeling neither of those things mean much in Eudio anyway, so that's nice.

[ If Roxy hadn't already dealt with a colleague of hers being resurrected here in the city, and a pirate from the seventeenth century, his statement might have struck her as a bit odd. As it stands, she's just... intrigued. ]

Would it be rude of me to ask what year? I suppose that's almost the same as asking a person's age, isn't it.

Just over four months. I imagine whether or not that's long is really up to you.

It's hardly been a month for me, but I've heard of people being around for at least a year, so one or four months doesn't seem all that long anymore.

A good friend of mine has been here for over a year, but he seems happy regardless.

Four months seems like ages to me, personally. But I was here once before, and I'm not sure for how long, so it could be nothing in comparison.

Apparently I've been here before too. I'm curious what it'd all add up to but I don't think it counts if I can't remember it.

How do you like it so far?

I'm not sure it counts, either. I can't even say what I was here for before, if I finished. I suppose there's no sense in worrying over it.

The not remembering or the city itself?

The city itself. I'd assume the not remembering feels strange but maybe that's just me.

It's not just you, I assure you.

The city's quiet in a way I'm not entirely used to, but I don't mind it. It does help that I've friends from home here to keep me on my toes.

How do you like it?

It's quieter than I'm used to, too, but that's not such a bad thing. And it turns out a lot of the people I thought I'd miss were here already. So as far as alternate universes go, I'm sure this is one of the nicer ones.
