There is a difference between a date that's badly planned and a terrible date. Badly planned dates can still be fun. Terrible dates make you wish the floor would open up and swallow you whole so you don't have to continue suffering.

No hobbies at all? I definitely understand the workaholic thing, but you really never had any downtime to just enjoy yourself? That sounds terrible.

How do you feel about jazz?

That sounds beyond depressing, you know. All work and no play makes Jack in desperate need of a drink and some time off.

[ luckily he's found himself in the land of Permanent Vacations. and he's in good hands. linda knows a thing or two about how to destress. ]

My musical tastes are pretty varied, but jazz is one of those genres that people either love or hate. I used to collect records. First-editions, rare recordings, things that were difficult to find but worth holding on to.

I brought a few of them with me, if you'd like to listen to them one of these days?

Bingo, sir. I was pretty lucky to stumble onto a record shop when I first got here, so I've been steadily refilling the collection.

I'll put together an introductory class for you. Jazz 101. Let's hope you're a good student. :)

I'd ask your place or mine but I doubt you've got a record player handy.

So let's say 8:00?

[ in the game of cuddling, you either cuddle or you sit at home, no further along to your incentive and certainly no happier for it. so linda had been absolutely thrilled to agree to an impromptu drinking date with a well-formed man from cuddlr.

it had, luckily enough, been a good idea. pleasantly buzzed from a few glasses of sangria, her flirting has gone from cheeky grins and emoticons to arm touching and hair flips. it's all she can do, what with steve's insistence on pulling out chairs and opening doors. what kind of woman can resist a classy gentleman like that?

not linda, that's for sure, and definitely not post-sangria. ]

Are you always this charming, or am I just especially lucky tonight?
