[ Steve's presence in the apartment this morning is a conceit of defeat. It is not in his nature to ask for help, nor is he likely to accept charity, but every so often an immovable force meets an unstoppable object. In this case, that unstoppable object was Daisy Johnson's stubborn insistence that Steve stay the night, and the fact that Steve is just now rising from the couch is evidence of how that argument played out.
Despite his concession, Steve had planned to wake early enough that no one else would ever notice he had stayed the night. So naturally Cassian is up just as early and shuffling into the common area just as Steve is readying to head out. ]
Good morning, [ he greets, looking up from his doubled-over position where he was pulling on his shoes. ] Sure, I'll have some tea. Thanks.
[ cassian's always been an early riser too, and sometimes he lets himself just sort of lay around in bed, but he'd known someone else was in the house, making it impossible to spend an hour at a leisure. not that he's ever really at leisure anyway. ]
[ he puts on the kettle, making sure the settings are up high. steve was clearly on his way out, so cassian doesn't intend to keep him trapped. he's just being a good host! ]
We have quite a few different kinds. The house is full of people with different preferences.
[ they have herbal teas, sweet teas, teas that go best with milk - jyn especially will try anything once, even if she always starts her day with a warm black tea and milk. so it's an open ended statement, asking if steve has any he'd also prefer. ]
